Digital Engagement Worker - Rotherham
If you believe that a single video, graphic, or post can change a life—this is your stage
We are on the frontline of sexual health and wellbeing, and we need a Digital Engagement Worker to join our dynamic Rotherham team.
This is your chance to use content, creativity, and connection to tear down barriers, smash stigma, and get life-changing health messages directly to the people who need them most.
Working within a dedicated HIV, reproductive, and sexual health team, you will be the digital heartbeat of our outreach—ensuring that no one in Rotherham is left without access to accurate, inclusive, and empowering information.
THE ROLE (7 Hours Per Week)
You won't be sat behind a screen pushing out generic posts. You will be:
- Creating content that cuts through – videos, graphics, animations, and campaigns that grab attention and spark action.
- Owning the platforms – from TikTok to Instagram, Facebook to Twitter, you'll meet communities where they already are.
- Empowering others – training staff and volunteers to become digital champions in their own health promotion work.
- Building bridges – working alongside partner agencies to develop online self-assessment tools and accessible signposting.
- Shaping the narrative – ensuring every piece of digital content is accurate, current, and inclusive.
This role demands flexibility. Some evening and weekend work is required
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE FIGHT
We're looking for someone who:
- Lives and breathes digital media – you know how to film, edit, design, and publish with impact.
- Understands social platforms intuitively – not just how they work, but why people use them.
- Has a passion for public health – you care about reducing HIV, STIs, and risky sexual behaviour through accessible information.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment – you love working with staff, volunteers, and partners to achieve shared goals.
- Is detail-obsessed – accuracy matters when people's health is on the line.
THE REWARDS
- Salary: NJC scale 6 (points 18–22), starting at £31,537 pro rata per annum (for 7 hours/week).
- Workplace pension – 5% employer contribution (on completion of probation).
- Meaningful work – every post, every video, every campaign makes a tangible difference.
- Supportive culture – you'll be part of a team that has your back and celebrates your wins.
