Our HIV & STI testing services in North Yorkshire

Regular drop-in sessions

  • Every Tuesday at our Northallerton office, Citizens Advice Bureau, 277 High Street, Northallerton, DL7 8DW. This will be 1pm-4pm on the first, second and third Tuesday of the month. It will run 3pm-6pm on the fourth Tuesday of the month. 
  • Last Friday of the month, 1pm-4pm at The Stokesley Room, The Town Hall, Stokesley, TS9 5DG.
  • Second Wednesday of the month, 12pm-2pm, Richmond Youth Centre, Darlington Road, Richmond, DL10 7BQ. 
  • First Wednesday of the month, 12pm-2pm at The Clock, St James' Green, Thirsk, YO7 1AQ.

  • Every Monday, 10am-1pm at Springboard Homeless Project, Oxford Street, Harrogate, HG1 1PP.
  • Third Monday of the month, 3pm-5pm at Dyneley Barn, Behind Dyneley House Surgery, Newmarket Street, Skipton, BD23 2HZ. 
  • Every Tuesday, 1pm-4pm at Community House, 46-50 East Parade, Harrogate, HG1 5RR.
  • Every Wednesday, 11am-4pm at Community House, 46-50 East Parade, Harrogate, HG1 5RR.


Sex worker drop-in session

This session is specifically for people who trade or sell sex, offering a professional service in a confidential and non-judgmental environment, first Wednesday of the month, 2pm-4pm. 

We offer:

  • Rapid HIV test (results within 20 mins)
  • STI screening (chlamydia, gonorrhoea and syphilis)
  • Free condoms and lube
  • Contraception
  • Hepatitis B vaccinations  
  • 1-2-1 support

Community peer-support group during the session, lunch provided.

This is a joint testing session with the NHS’s GUM clinic run at our Community House, 46-50 East Parade, Harrogate, HG1 4RR.

  • Every Monday, 4pm-7pm at our Scarborough office, Yorkshire in Business, Auborough Street, YO11 1HT.
  • First, second and fourth Thursday of the month at our Scarborough office, Yorkshire in Business, Auborough Street, YO11 1HT.

  • Second Monday of the month, 12:30am-2:30pm at Atmosphere, Eastgate, Pickering, YO18 7JL. 
  • LGBTQ drop-in and social, last Tuesday of the month, 6pm-8pm at Chapter 2 Bar, 5 Market Place, Malton, YO17 7LP.

All of our drop-in sessions offer free, rapid HIV tests with results back in 20 minutes. We also offer home testing kits to gay, bisexual and men who have sex with men only. These kits test for  HIV, Syphilis, Gonorrhoea and Chlamydia and involve taking your own samples and sending them in the post.

Any gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men, and Black African men and women, 16 years and over can order a HIV sampling kit online and have it delivered to your address in England. With the kit, you take a simple finger prick blood test and send it back to a laboratory for results and a referral to local confidential clinical and support services should this be required. Please check to see if you live in one of the 90+ local authorities where this service is now available.

The tests are provided by Test.HIV and can be ordered online from www.test.hiv.
