Yorkshire Relish LGBT Dining Group Community run group
Social groups are a great way to meet new people whilst simultaneously visiting interesting places, and Yorkshire Relish has been bringing people together in this fashion for almost 20 years now. Not only is it exclusively for the LGB community but collectively over the years, the members of this amicable club have visited most of the restaurants that make Leeds such a vibrant and interesting place to meet. From high end, well-recognised establishments to little hidden gems, it is the purpose of Yorkshire Relish to bring people together over good food and fine wine.
The Yorkshire Relish dining group was originally launched back in 1994, and has been administered by various members before the reigns were handed over to community volunteer Rob Wilson in January 2013. Rob has extensive previous experience with social networking, having been involved in City Socialising, Spice Yorkshire and City Card Leeds. Most recently Rob is also running The Bad Mittens (Leeds only LGB&T Badminton group) and The Leeds Hunters Rugby Union team.
Meeting approximately 8 times a year the group visits different restaurants across Leeds City Centre, spanning from banqueting to fine dining the group has (across the year) events to meet most budgets.
The group is open to and attended by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans people of all ages, and welcomes guests who travel from across all of Yorkshire to enjoy the company of friends, both old and newly made.
