Trans & Non Binary: Gender outreach work
We employ a gender outreach worker from Leeds GIC (Gender Identity Clinic) / LGIS (Leeds Gender Identity Services) which engages with people over the age of 17. Sophie hosts a range of events, drop in sessions, group meetings and one to one support sessions for trans and non-binary people.
You can also keep up to date with events on facebook.com/LeedsGenderOutreachWorkers
The drop-in sessions are designed to be a friendly and open opportunity to ask questions and explore particular topics and themes. People are free to drop in at any point during these session times and leave whenever they like.
Support and social groups are an informal and friendly way to meet and socialise with other trans and non-binary people. It is an opportunity to share experiences, gain peer support as well as gain additional help, support and advice from the gender outreach workers.
One to One Support Sessions
If you have not already done so and would like to have a one to one session with one of the Gender Outreach Workers please contact Sophie directly to organise this, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. These one to one sessions are available specifically for all those on the waiting list to be seen at the GIC. The sessions are there for you to ask questions and gain additional help and support during this interim period whilst you are on the waiting list.
