We would like new trustees who can help us to steer Yorkshire MESMAC through a time of unprecedented change.

With our strategy and business plan, we are responding to shrinking health budgets, growing competition, whilst seeing increasing numbers of people across Yorkshire requiring our services.

Our 30 years of success has been achieved by focusing on what really matters – our beneficiaries\service users, being responsive to their needs, designing high quality and compassionate service with them. This responsiveness and engagement is central to our continued success.

We are looking for people over 18 with experience and skills in either youth work, Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME)work, human resources, financial management or in being a company director. Other skills will be considered.

Trustees act as advocates for our amazing charity, and support our vision that we will build communities that have the knowledge, skills and resources needed to make choices about their lives, free from exploitation, stigma and fear.

The Board meets four times a year, and Trustees are also required to commit to joining either the HR, Governance or Finance sub-committees and attending those four times a year also. The majority of meetings start no earlier than 6pm and are usually held in Leeds.

This is a voluntary position, supported by an expenses policy, with fantastic rewards.

Expressions of interest should be sent to Steve Bridge (Chair), Yorkshire MESMAC, 22/23 Blayds Yard, LEEDS, LS1 4AD or to chair@mesmac.co.uk by Friday 1st November 2019.
