Syphilis is on the increase across Yorkshire so it's important that you get clued up. Here's everything you need to know about the causes, symptoms, treatments and getting tested.

Where can I get tested?

To find out where and when you can access Syphilis testing in Leeds, click here for the Leeds Sexual Health Clinic timetable. There are both walk-in sessions and appointments available throughout the week.

If you live in York you can also order a 4-in-1 STI testing kit to do in the comfort of your own home. These kits test for Syphilis, as well as Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea and HIV. You just need to collect your samples (a throat swab, a bum or vaginal swab, a blood sample and a urine sample), send them off in the post and then you'll get your results back by text. Yorkshire MESMAC

Yorkshire MESMAC offers free, fast and confidential Syphilis testing. 

The drop-in sessions at our Hull office (Suite 1 Freetown Court, 15 Freetown Way, Hull, HU2 8JQ) are at the following times: 

Tuesdays: 10am-1pm

Wednesdays: 1pm-4pm

Thursdays: 4pm-7pm

If you are unable to attend a drop in session but would like to make an appointment then please call us on 01482 291190 or 07818 051838. 

We also offer drop-in sessions at different venues across the city: 

Club 69 gay/bi sauna, 1st Tuesday and 3rd Thursday of the month, 3pm-7pm

This service is for those aged 20 and over and living in Hull HU1-HU9. We will take a finger prick of your blood for the test and it only takes one minute to get your results. The window period for this test is 6 weeks, so it might not detect a recent infection.

There are two sexual health clinics in Doncaster, both of which offer Syphilis testing.
