Festive Season Office Closures

See below for our office closure times over the festive season. All HIV/STI testing drop-in sessions will not be during these times.

Our offices will be closed during the following dates

York: 21st December-7th January

Selby: 20th December-9th January 

Harrogate: 20th December-7th January 

Northallerton: 20th December-8th January 

Scarborough: 20th December-8th January

Our sexual health services are closing from Friday 21st until January 4th. For all your sexual health needs during this period, please visit http://leedssexualhealth.com

If you need access to PEP, please visit A&E.

Our next HIV testing session is on Saturday 5th January 12-2pm.

The next BASE Sauna session is 9th January 3-6pm.


The office will be closed 24th December-1st January inclusive.

We are running an appointments only service on 24th December. Please call 01482 291194 to make an appointment.

Please note the counselling service at Yorkshire MESMAC cannot respond to crisis emotional / mental health situations over the Christmas and New Year period.

If you feel you are in need of crisis emotional / mental health support - contact your GP or the national support line of the Samaritans Tel:116 123 - their telephone line is open 24/7.

Over the Christmas and New Year period, any counselling referrals submitted online  will not be processed between Wednesday 19th December and Monday 7th January 2019.  Eligible referrals submitted during this period will be dealt with week commencing 7/1/18 but an appointment to see a counsellor may not be available until the following week. 


If you have been at risk of HIV transmission in the last 72 hours you can go to your local A&E for PEP. PEP is a 28 day course of medication that significantly reduces your risk of acquiring HIV.
