‘Our’ is a Bradford based community service working with people living with HIV. The focus is to offer a quality service to all people living with HIV or AIDS in the Bradford Metropolitan District.

Donations to the Our Project
If you would like to donate to the Our Project (charity number 1040407) please send a cheque or postal order made out to Yorkshire MESMAC and posted to P.O. Box 417 Leeds LS1 5PN.
Please make clear that you wish your donation to be used for the Our Project.
We aim to:
- Provide support for anyone directly infected or affected with HIV or AIDS.
- Ensure that people living with HIV or AIDS receive services that are fast, flexible and fair.
- Inform and educate people in the area, raising awareness around HIV related issues.
- Ensure that services are acceptable, appropriate and accessible to people living with HIV.
What we can offer:
- Support for people living with or concerned by HIV or AIDS
- Information and advice
- Sign-posting to relevant and appropriate services
- Resources on many aspects of HIV/AIDS and Sexual Health
- Training for Community Groups and professionals on HIV/AIDS
- Free complementary therapy sessions (for HIV +ve people only)
- Free Counselling
- Advocacy
- Social and emotional support
- Help with finances
A number of printed resources are available, free of charge to service users and professionals. Examples of areas covered by resources include
- Hepatitis B
- Super Infection of HIV
- Safer sex resources
We are also able to provide free condoms and lubricant.

OUR Counselling
Free confidential counselling for people living with HIV in the Bradford area.
OUR counsellors understand the issues faced by people living with HIV. They also understand that you and your circumstances are unique.
OUR counsellors will never judge you or tell you what to do.
Counselling can help you make sense of how you’re feeling. It can also help you to work out solutions to situations you might have to face because of your HIV status.

Many Voices, One Message - New Resource for Asylum Seekers
Yorkshire MESMAC group of services is pleased to present our latest resource, developed in conjunction with our partners The Black Health Initiative, the five Leeds PCTs, the Leeds Health Access Team and Leeds City Council’s HIV and Sexual Health and Substance Team. The resource has been developed to assist staff to enable Asylum Seekers to access translated information on Health Services in England.
