how we work

The Yorkshire MESMAC group of services aims to be as responsive as possible to the needs, views and concerns of the communities that we work with. To this aim we employ a variety of methods of working.

From its conception, Yorkshire MESMAC adopted a Community Development approach to its work and has developed a set of values and principles that underpins our work.

Most front line services, with the exception of Leeds LGB Switchboard, which is volunteer led and staffed, are delivered by paid staff. Overall governance of the organisation rests with the Board of Trustees, who are responsible for, amongst other things, the developing and ratifying of policy and procedure.
