We provide social support and advocacy for people who are living with or affected by HIV in Wakefield or Bradford. This includes 1-2-1 support, support groups and courses.

OUR

OUR provides support and advocacy for people living with or affected by HIV in Bradford.

The OUR Project is a Bradford based community service working with people living with HIV. The focus is to offer a quality service to all people living with HIV or AIDS in the Bradford & Airedale District.

Advice and Support: We offer advice, information and support on HIV testing and pre-testing support.

HIV Positive: Community project working with people infected and affected by HIV including counselling, complementary therapies, advice and support. We offer one to one and group support.

Support and Social Groups: We have a drop in session every Thursday from 3pm to 6pm.

Courses: We offer training on transmission, treatment and living positively with HIV.

Begin provides support and advocacy for people living with or affected by HIV in the Wakefield district.

We are currently providing support from four locations in Wakefield District: Wakefield, Castleford, Hemsworth & Pontefract. Please get in touch about when we are offering services in the last three locations if you would like to visit us for support locally.

We provide free, confidential, flexible, culturally sensitive services including:

  • Workshops and training on issues that matter to HIV positive people
  • Advocacy
  • Advice and information
  • Assistance applying for hardship grants
  • Practical support and referrals to other services
  • Help to access complementary therapies
