Preventative work by BLAST

The BLAST Project delivers preventative work in secondary schools across the Bradford district and Leeds. We work exclusively with boys and young men providing them with information about the importance of friendships, risk taking behaviours, keeping safe, sexual exploitation and the importance of support networks.

We highlight and cover some difficult subjects and concepts and it is often easier for both the boys attending the group/lesson and the school, if they are delivered by an outside organisation that specialises in these areas. We work in partnership with the school to ensure that we are delivering information in line with their curriculum and guidelines and that all the information is age appropriate.

We also offer courses and consultancy for school staff in order that they feel confident and supported when dealing with male sexual exploitation issues.

The BLAST Project also works in primary schools and delivers Protective Behaviours/Building Safe Relationships Training to year six pupils.
