The Richard Day Building

After being parted from our centre in Bradford for almost seven months, Yorkshire MESMAC Group of Services - including Yorkshire MESMAC, The
OUR Project, BLAST, BLAGY and the LGB Mental Health and Wellbeing
Project - have now moved back to our fully-redesigned and refurbished
building, named the Richard Day Building in memory of our late colleague.
The official re-opening day will be on 17th May 2010 at lunchtime which will be the first year anniversary of Richard Day's death.

The building now boasts a large meeting room with a fully fitted kitchen, computer room, a counselling/ treatment room, shower room, washing and drying facilities, plus a large multi-purpose area for gym equipment and group activities. The new offices are now also fully accessible. Previously the design of the building was limiting the work that we wanted to carry out here in Bradford but now the building is spacious and better equipped we are able to expand and develop the services we offer. We are very proud of our new building and look forward to many prosperous years here offering a first class service to
our community.

The redevelopment of the building was made possible by a large grant from the Department of Health's Capital AIDS Fund and assistance from Bradford Metropolitan District Council's Department of Adult and Community Services.
